so todays critique went really bad so it made me go home all mad and experiment. i also bought some new ink so i had some new colors. i will not accept bad grades anymore so i will improve as much as i need to. a kick in the ass is just want i needed i guess. well i tried out the new ink and then some gouache and then some matte medium and more gouache.i think its pretty cool i'm gonna keep

i thought i'd update with my newest piece for my media class. its a silhouette out of cut paper, we had to cut out all the light parts. mine was easy so i thought i'd make it bangin' with some detailed pattern in the background. mission accomplished. btw its kelsey isn't she the cutest thing?oh and in other news brandes put up our pen and ink fish, and mine is in the case! :D

i was very excited to walk into a cj lab and find that they used one of my stickers for an illest advertisement. [its the second one in the top row] i'm hoping that since they used something of mine they will be more likely to accept some of my work into the show. i plan on submitting my sketchbook and maybe my pen and ink jellyfish. who knows? wish me luck on october 7th. :D

i want to draw in my sketchbook all day long. i finished my moleskine [finally] and now i want to doodle and draw and fiddle around with my new one.but i can't because i have this stupid drawing to do for this stupid class that i don't want to do at all because its just terrible. ugh. summer vacation is coming, i'm not too excited. i'm actually quite worried.

so this thursday was our senior art show. i won 2nd place in digital media and an honorable mention in mixed media. it was pretty good. ive come to realize i'm always just going to be second place whenever i'm being compared to certain people and i've accepted it. its alright. its all just a learning experience. i'm hoping to sell a few pieces and my teacher said she wanted to buy a few from me
